I completed a 10k race at Oak Park in 64 minutes in October! I tried my best in the 10k, but I didn't know how to pace myself, so I ran my best in the first 30 minutes and then my breathing and pace were all off. Eventually, I did it!!

Woot woot!!! |
I completed the Hot Chocolate 15K run in 111 minutes in November. This is my first run in Chicago! Hillary ran with me so she guided me in the pace. We mainly did 11 min/mile. The first 10k was a breeze. When I hit the 6 mile mark, downhill from there. I slowed down my pace to 12 min/mile or even more at the end and it was a struggle. The run was very fun with tootsie roll, marshmallow during, hot chocolate after, and a piece of chocolate (medal) I would keep forever :)

Right after the run!! |
I am working toward my next one now- looking at a half marathon in January? I need to keep it up! I need to make sure I can keep running!
