home is where heart is
Of course, my christmas and new year are spent in Hong Kong again. This time is slightly different because 90% of my friends work and they are not available during the weekdays. I spent a lot of time with family, like babysitting my nieces, going to the park with the kids, hanging out with my second sister because of her wedding prep, like dance practices, dress fitting etc. I am more than happy to help her with her wedding!
2015 has already filled with exciting memories.
1. My sister's wedding - the wedding is beautiful. My sister is beautiful. I couldn't stop crying when I was standing on the side with the other bridesmaids. My eyes started teared up when my sister was walking down the aisle, and then I saw my brother in law's eyes started teared up, and then I saw my dad started crying out of happiness. I couldn't hold those happy tears anymore and let them roll down my cheeks. I am so happy for my sister and wish her lifetime happiness with her husband! Our brother in law is a super great guy too!
2. 4-hour hike to Mount Butler - first hike since forever! I think the last time I hiked was in 2008 when I was still in my volleyball team. Hiking gave me such adrenaline rush. It was difficult, but not only the view of Hong Kong after 2 hours was worth it, the quality time spent with friends was irreplaceable.

3. Went to Disneyland aka the happiest location on earth after 5 years!
A very spontaneous trip to Disneyland. Even though I was very tired and not in the funnest mood, I still enjoyed Disneyland, especially when there was no lines everywhere in the Park.

4. Sick right before flying back to the states
I still had tons of seafood the night before I was sick. Never take health and youth for granted. I always thought I have a pretty good immune system, except this time it hits me real hard. My tummy still feel funny. I haven't had people taken care of me when I am sick for a while, and the perks of being at home is that my family was there to care for me. I am very thankful that my mom brought me to the hospital and clinic to make sure I am okay. I'm glad my friends decided to come visit me the night before my departure.
This trip back to Hong Kong was very fulfilling and fun. I was able to spend time with the people I want and care (even though the plan on Saturday fell through cause of my sickness). Family and friends always come first. Last year, I was set to stay here for a couple of years after I graduate; now, I am second guessing my decision and choice. However, I always have to keep this in mind: If I don't do it now, when? I am still young and I should try new things. Time will tell.
