PA School Progress 1
Since the beginning of PA school, I have been counting up/down (?) how many weeks had passed and use this as an motivation. As of right now, we have gone through 11 weeks of PA school, approaching our 12th week and end of our 3rd organ system (OMG). We already completed heme/onc and pulmonary, and now finishing up cardiovascular....
The learning curve in the first two months is so steep and now I think I am getting a hang of it, but kinda burn out. I couldn't figure out why until I see friends and family traveling. I KNOW WHY it is because I have the privilege to use my vacation days and travel around to somewhere else (near and far) once a month OR once every 6 weeks (Yes, super spoiled). Having to stay in and study every weekend is something that I need to get used to and so that I don't procrastinate.
Lately, I have been tired and just don't want to do anything (especially when I don't really understand the material), including studying even if my brain is telling me I NEED TO DO THAT. I feel unmotivated to study on the weekends but feel super unproductive.... still can't figure out a way to deal with that yet. Anyway, gotta do what I gotta do... and that's my rant.
BUT I STILL LOVE WHAT I AM LEARNING, MY PROGRAM, MY CLASSMATES.
and also I feel like my program isn't as intense compared to other programs because I do have time to procrastinate and have some fun and still be okay (so far). Concepts are always repeated and reiterated that somehow it should be instilled in my long term memory. I like PBL, and it's like second nature to what to do and getting a hang of it.
