Day 243: surprising moment
Today we had a guest lecturer for my food science class. The guest lecturer is an advisor at the career services for my college. I usually use their services like for resume, interview and cover letter, so I always see the same advisor.
In class, we were talking about self-marketing as a professional which touched on resume and cover letter. Out of no where, she said: "there's a student in this class has a good resume. I don't want to embarrass her but that's Candice." I was so embarrassed because people turned their heads to see who's Candice... I was also very flattered to have an advisor to compliment my resume in front of the class. She just went on and complimented my resume, such as how it was clear, concise and neat with no mistakes and stuff. And said like she comes in for help even though she knows she doesn't need it lol.
It boosted up my confidence a little :)
