Yosemite trip 2017
I always attempt to do traveling blogs but I get too lazy in the end. The following was my attempt for Yosemite trip back in September 2017 for Labor Day Weekend. Last year Fall was a stressful time with applications, interviews and rejections from PA school. Anyway, HERE I GO:
9/2/17
Arrived at San Jose late at night on Friday and I'm so thankful that Michael let us stayed at his place for a few hours and offered his bed.
We left for Mariposa at 4am and the drive was three hours! I'm glad I got to catch some sleep beforehand. We met up with other friends at the Airbnb, and then breakfast and then Yosemite, we go! The line to Yosemite national park entrance was very long. We waited for two to three hours, which is normal during the busiest time of the year. We parked by the hay field and valley. Looked up, you see the granite gray flat mountains and it is beautiful! Today we did the mist trail for the Nevada waterfall. The hike was only 3 miles and on paved roads so it was a lot easier. I was very close to the waterfall that the mist (hence mist trail lol) made me soaking wet. There were many steps to the top of waterfall
9/3/17
We woke up at 4am to prep for sandwiches. We left at 5:30am and started our two hour drive to clouds rest trailhead.
-THE END-
lol more happened but I didn't document it. From my memory, the clouds rest rail was long and difficult, but beautiful (not only at the peak but during the hike too). There were many switch backs and that's one of the most tiring thing!
long drive but we made it |
