Black Friday (黑仔星期五)
This week is full of orientations - New Employee Orientation, 2 Foodservice Orientation, Diet Clerk Orientation and New Student Orientation - and tours. I learned a lot about the values, mission and vision of Rush. Everyone in the hospital and university makes people feel like home and united. I guess I'm kinda brain washed after three weeks, but as they always reiterate values and goals, they show that they want to help us improve and become successful and better individual.
I'm so thankful for my past internship experience. Because of these internships, I felt more confident and felt that I am capable. At least I don't feel like a goose with head chopped off (a real idiom right?).
The most stupid thing I did this morning... I've been taking the train to school for three weeks now, so I definitely have a good idea. Every morning, I always have to go through the loop before heading to Rush direction. WHO KNEW THAT.... This morning, I took the train as usual and got off at the stop where I always transfer (Clark/Lake) when I go home from Rush. It turned out that that stop (Clark/Lake) is the first stop for the Pink Line. Therefore, I had to go around the LOOP again before heading to Rush... So I had a fun trip cruising around the loop again.
Moral of the story: Don't act like you know (唔好懶醒!) Listen to the CTA instruction. When they tell you you can transfer whatever lines at this stop, just do it! Don't think cause you saw those colors beside the stop, so you can transfer there!!
Well on the brighter note, I got my first pay check for my first two weeks at Rush AND finally met with my research advisor again... felt better... maybe lol.
p.s. got my first Rush gear AND my CTA pass AND student ID taken (yes!)
