Day 148: Just for that 5 dollars...
Today at my comm arts class, we practiced persuasion and delivery. My creative(?) teacher gave us a task which is to convince your audience that you deserve that 5 dollars and you get to keep it. Right after she said that, she pointed at me and said I was first! OMG. I was just so lost and confused as what to say... so I said if I have this 5 dollars, I would buy girls scout's cookies and donate the rest to homeless people, which is for a good cause (?). And of course, this idea got shot down.
Other people's speeches are so funny! One of them said something like I have student debt, so if I don't get this 5 dollars, I will get chased down by those bank sharks (?) for money and may die and then no one will assess your speeches and we don't get good grades. LOL. One of them said let's be honest here; you won't donate this 5 dollars to some homeless guy, so why not give it to me for something. One guy is like the guy on the bill has beard and I have beard, we are both green, I love green and this is green (LOL)! One girl actually said she lost her wallet and needed this 5 dollars. Of course, I would give it to someone who desperately needs it. In the end, the girl who said she lost her wallet got the 5 dollars... and turned out that she actually didn't lose her wallet!!!!
The bottom line: People will lie just for that 5 dollars.
The funniest thing is that no one proposed the idea of sharing the 5 dollars out! I guess we are just a bunch of selfish college students who need that 5 dollars to do something.

Great story! Next time you should propose to share!
