Day 162: Happy Thanksgiving

I might not be spending this holiday with my family, but I am definitely grateful to have my roommates and friends with me today, with all the preparation of our little thanksgiving dinner! I'm glad we made the turkey and the rolls happened! It's definitely scary to try it out for the first time, but it's worth a try! Never be afraid to cook some complicated dish :)

- Frying those rolls can be a little bit scary with all the oil splattering around!

Added all the stuffing, wine! The oven bag was a must!
The turkey turned out to be very juicy and moisty!
I would say... SUCCESS!!!

Tried out this recipe from my family - traditional Fujianese pork and shrimp rolls with tofu skin!
It was a success too! Of course not as good as my helper's but it was still good!!
WALA! Our thanksgiving dinner -
baked corns, yam, mussels, TURKEY and fujianese rolls!
The funniest thing after dinner or during dinner was that we watched LKF 2 and TVB anniversary celebration. I love how we were all comment and disgusted by the stuff they do. After that, I forced my friends to play this super fun game - to pair up colors and objects- with me!! AND THE HILARIOUS part came in. Roommate I said broccoli (for green) and Roommate C immediately said WHAT?! broccoli is white!! -.- (C'mon now, let's not mix up the chinese terms for broccoli and cauliflower)

I can be a cook/ expert in these dishes now :)
