Day 72: 創意料理
This is what I like to do when I don't want to face my work and procrastinate. I wish I can do this as a living...making and trying out new recipes.
The first one I made was spaghetti in hot dogs. It turned out to be a great idea. If you just mix them together separately, you could either get more hot dogs or spaghetti in one spoon. However, with this method, you ensure you have the right/equal amount of spaghetti and piece of hot dog in one bite.
1) Slice the hot dogs in pieces -- it should have an appropriate thickness to it.
2) Shorten your pasta by breaking them apart -- this will make it easier to cook AND it looks like you have more in the pot too!
3) Poke through the hot dog with 5-6 sticks... it doesn't have to be exact... as long as the amount of spaghetti does not exceed the width of the hot dog then you should be fine.
4) Boil water, adding salt and oil -- it makes your spaghetti more "Q"
5) Once the water is boiling, put all the pasta into the pot for 10 minutes.
6) Drain the pasta and hotdog under cold water -- this makes the pasta to stop cooking and avoids from becoming soggy by absorbing too much water.
7) Add oil, whatever you like with your pasta, put the pasta in and then put the tomato sauce -- I always like it when the sauce just covers the pasta, so it won't be too watery and salty

ReplyDeleteThat egg looks yummy! But why not fry on the stove?
ReplyDeleteYou should write more of these-- you've got a flair for them!
you don't need to add oil if you baked them! you only need to add a light layer on the bread :) Also, it would be cleaner and faster too! I think it's a very convenient way to make egg (slightly cooked/raw)!
Deletei wanted to try that sausage spaghetti thing for so long!!!
