Day 85: Day 28 at MOWI
Today, the interns sat in on a Valley Menu meeting. The
purpose of the meeting was to discuss the cost of the next cycle menu. Each
meal needs to be around 1.62 dollars. Each of them involved in the meeting was
thinking of ways to cut down the cost, such as substituting ingredients,
cutting down serving sizes and changing ingredients. Many things had to be
considered, such as the final product issue, the nutrient issue, variety issue
and the cost issue. Therefore, it is never easy to create a cycle menu!
