Day 7: Technology and Learning
Yay. It's been a week of my project! Pat on my back :) I always wonder how long this will last. Yesterday in class we talked about how technology affects people's learning. I have a love-hate relationship with technology. I'm thankful how technology had provided me with quick information and automatically correct things for me. However, I hate technology for distracting me, taking away my attention and causing myself having short attention spam. I wonder if I haven't exposed to technology this early, I might become a usual reader and a good writer. With technology, everything comes too easily. We waited to work on things in the last minute because we knew that the Internet will be able to provide us with all the information we needed.
Somehow I find myself lucky to be born in 1991. If I was born earlier, I might have a hard time adapting the new and quick turn over of technology. If I was born later, I wouldn't understand what's the big deal with the negative aspect of technology and become very dependent on technology.
I think this is a very interesting video to watch if you have the time. The chapter we watched in class was chapter 4 and it is very interesting to listen from different perspective about learning and technology.

p.s If I am able to get away from any technology for more than 2 hours a day, I consider myself successful. Sadly, I've never done that.
p.p.s. Even cookie monster listens to music now. WHAT?!
