Day 49: Explore Ft. Worth Part 2

看圖說故事; Story book :P
Today, we went to Amon Carter Museum of American Art.
Most of the art pieces are by the West American. I love the museum! The size of the museum is perfect that you won't get tired of looking at each piece. There are different styles and media as well, like photography, oil on canvas etc. Usually I enjoy the very realistic ones, that look exactly like the photographs, but today I realized that I like another type, which is kind of similar to style of Picasso but...different.
A very interesting thing(?). If you turn it clockwise, you will a man riding on a horse
Some quotes I saw in the museum I really liked:
"The final moral is: let photography be "literary"" - Clement Greenberg, 1946
"Art is much less important than life, but what a poor life without it" - Robert Motherwell
"Art is art. Everything else is everything else" - Ad Reinhardt
"There is no such thing as good painting about nothing" - Mark Rothko

Then, we went to the Botanic Garden. Look how big it is!! I'm so happy to  be in "nature"!

One of the a lot of pictures I took!
The path to beauty!

Just really like this picture ;)

Final stop: In-n-out burger!! I didn't know there's a veggie burger with animal style (Sauce). YUMMY!
And of course my day would end with food ;)

  1. I really wanna try in-n-out burger! maybe in hk! gosh it looks really good...and the museum looks really interesting! it's been long since i've seen some art...and i agree with Mark Rothko's quote! if an art piece has no meaning...then it's purely art for art's sake...

    1. i mean most artists are inspired by the past artists so I can see some picasso aspect in some of the paintings. I would say they focus a lot on Indian American and the nature and living of them.
