Day 60: Day 14 in MOWI
Nothing much today! Went to a site visit with Sotear, which got really chaotic when the volunteers grabbed more than they need or took the incorrect meal. Worked on handouts... as usual -..-
I guess the talk with Sotear was more interesting than anything today! She's a thirty year-old Cambodian who went to college when she was 25 and now she's doing her Masters in Public Health. She said you find yourself in a different state after one decade. My sister who's also thirty said the same thing as well! I begin not to be afraid of growing old because I can't wait to see how mature and more 女人味 I will get (HAHA). I'm getting tired of the Hong Kong society judging females becoming old and wrinkly and if you're older than 30 and not married, people think there might be something wrong with you...Why? I think... no matter how old you are, you will always be appreciated, respected and loved!

p.s:
A nice surprise over this weekend, my weekly journal got selected for Meals On Wheels's blog!!

pps.
I learnt a trick to make your chicken last longer! Butterfly the chicken breast = slice it in the middle and open it like a butterfly. Put it in a ceramic wrap or plastic bag and pound it with pan! This way, you make the meat flatter and thinner which increases the surface area = increase the number of meals you will have!! :D Oh oh! And it would cook much easier as well!

ReplyDeleteLooking very professional, candy!!
ReplyDeleteBtw, there's lots to look forward to as you age. I like being 30 better than I like being 20 so far!
Women can age beautifully like fine wine.
